Tesla SAE J1772 Charging Adapter Drops in Price to $50

Tesla has dropped the price of its SAE J1772 Charging Adapter, now at $50 USD, down from $95 USD.

“Compatible with most Level 2 public charging stations, the J1772 Adapter supports charging speeds up to 19.2kW. This product comes standard with purchase of any Tesla vehicle,” explains Tesla.

This adapter works with all Tesla vehicles and the J1772 charger is usually found at public Level 2 charging stations.

For those that have a charging set up at home that requires a J1772 adapter, ordering an extra to keep in the car can be a good idea.

Earlier this week, Tesla launched a J1772 Wall Connector, to bring its home charging solution to the masses.
