Tesla has tweaked its ordering page for its Model Y compact crossover SUV, now showing the $2,000 USD Induction Wheels upgrade by default (via @BabyTesla3).

When prospective owners load the Model Y ordering page, the 20-inch Induction Wheels are now the default option, a $2,000 USD upgrade over the 19-inch Gemini Wheels with aero covers.

With Induction Wheels as default, the estimated delivery date shows April 2022, whereas the Gemini Wheels show a longer delay of July 2022, a difference of three months.

The Model Y Performance, which comes with 21-inch Überturbine Wheels as standard, along with an increased top speed, performance brakes, rear spoiler, lower suspension and aluminum alloy pedals, is showing an estimated delivery date of December 2021.

It’s clear Tesla is prioritizing its most expensive versions of the Model Y, and the default wheel change to the upgraded wheels, matches what we’ve recently seen with the Model 3 sedan.
