Tesla Removes Cybertruck Order Pricing and Configurations Until 2022
Tesla has started making changes to its website on Thursday evening, and with its Cybertruck, there is no longer pricing or configuration options available (via @SawyerMerritt).
When you click “order now” under the Cybertruck page, all you see is a message that reads, “You will be able to complete your configuration as production nears in 2022.”
There are no options to customize your configuration, such as choosing from single motor RWD, dual motor AWD and tri-motor AWD options, along with selection Full Self-Driving. This means Tesla no longer lets people lock in FSD pricing ahead of Cybertruck production in 2022.
Prices for Cybertruck when released back in November 2019 were at $39,990 USD, $49,990 USD and $69,990 USD, for single motor, dual-motor and tri-motor options. It remains unclear what final options will be for Cybertruck, but for now, Tesla is keeping its cards close for its first electric truck.
To place an order today, you’ll need to put down a $100 USD deposit that’s fully refundable, to essentially keep your place in line.
Tesla’s Cybertruck will be built at the company’s Gigafactory in Austin, Texas, expected to be completed by the end of this year.
