2021 Tesla Shareholder Meeting Moves to Texas Gigafactory Virtual Event

Tesla announced last Friday it has changed the location of its 2021 annual meeting of shareholders. Originally set to take place at the company’s Fremont factory in California, it has now moved to the Gigafactory Austin in Texas

“The 2021 Annual Meeting will be presented from Tesla’s Gigafactory in Austin, Texas on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at 4:30 p.m. CT [2:30 pm PT]”, announced Tesla in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The meeting will take place in a virtual-only format, likely due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, viewable to the public by going to tesla.com/2021shareholdermeeting, while a replay will be available afterwards for one year.

Tesla announced the details of its 2021 annual meeting back in August. At the time, the company warned the location and time could change.

“Although we currently intend to hold the 2021 Annual Meeting on October 7, 2021 and in person, we will continue to monitor public health and travel safety protocols required or recommended by federal, state and local governments. If necessary or advisable to protect our personnel and stockholders, we will change the date, time, location and/or format of the 2021 Annual Meeting and/or require specific attendance conditions or procedures,” said Tesla at the time.

The 2021 Tesla shareholder meeting will take place after the company announces its Q3 earnings and also vehicle production numbers.
