YouTube channel Everyday Astronaut hosted by Tim Dodd, has posted part two of its SpaceX Starbase tour with CEO Elon Musk. The video offers unprecedented access to Musk and Starbase’s operation, showing behind-the-scenes views of inside tents and more.
Part two of this Starbase tour spans one hour long, just like part one. There’s still a third part coming, which is going to offer even more insight into SpaceX’s operations.
After restocking, Musk said SpaceX will begin final heat shield tiles for Starship, install thermal protection of booster engines, ground propellant storage tanks and a quick disconnect arm for the space ship in “two weeks”.
SpaceX plans to send Starship on its first orbital flight, pending approval from regulators. Musk says the company’s goal of its first orbital flight is to take off from the stand without blowing up, as “that would be a victory”.
