As electric vehicles (EVs) continue to gain traction on the road, the charging infrastructure in most areas remains one of the largest barriers to mainstream EV adoption.

Drawing from partnerships with multiple EV charging companies, Mercedes-Benz Canada customers will gain access to over 4,900 charging stations across the country and is calling the network the ‘Mercedes me Charge’ ecosystem, according to press releases from FLO and Mercedes-Benz.

In addition to providing support to the automaker through public access charging stations, FLO will also offer residential charging to Mercedes-Benz owners, featuring an exclusive carbon finish of the FLO Home X5 residential charger.

FLO President and CEO Louis Tremblay said, “We are pleased that our passion for excellence and sophisticated design will help provide Mercedes-Benz drivers with an experience in electric mobility that is both refined and superbly reliable.”

The Mercedes me Charge network is expected to become available to Mercedes-Benz customers by the end of 2021, and will feature seamless charging and integration with the Mercedes-Benz EQS line’s MBUX dashboard display.

The network will also give owners access to an additional charging network of over 2,400 semi-public ports on the ChargePoint network which are featured in access-controlled environments like office buildings, shopping malls, and hotels.
