SpaceX Starlink Simultaneous Active Users Has Topped 69,420, Says Elon Musk

SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet has surpassed a “strategically important threshold,” according to CEO Elon Musk.

The milestone was achieved on Thursday evening, explained Musk on Friday afternoon. “Starlink simultaneously active users just exceeded the strategically important threshold of 69,420 last night!”, said an emphatic Musk.

SpaceX said earlier this week it expects to reach global coverage by September of this year.

The most recent Starlink satellite launch took place on March 26, when 60 satellites were sent into orbit by SpaceX’s Falcon 9 booster. The next Starlink-29 mission is expected to take place on July 11.
