Tesla 2021.4.18 Software Update Rolling Out: What’s New [Update]

Tesla has started rolling out its 2021.4.18 software update, so far detected on vehicles in the United States, Canada and Australia, according to @TeslaFi.

The release of 2021.4.18 comes after 2021.4.17 was released back on May 10th. Earlier this week, Tesla released 2021.4.15.8, which also contained bug fixes.

No word on what’s new, but it feels like this is again most likely bug fixes.

However, according to Tesla hacker @greentheonly tonight, 2021.4.18 “brings animal assets to the masses,” similar to 2021.4.15.8, plus also “unspecified voice command improvements”.

According to @GooDOITom86, the 2021.4.18 release notes just mention “minor fixes” and “miscellaneous improvements.”

Many Tesla owners are patiently waiting for the company to release the next version of its software, V11, expected to when Model S/X refresh deliveries begin.
