Lucid Motors has announced it is now ‘all out’ of the Dream Edition of its Lucid Air electric sedan.
“That was fast. The limited run of Lucid Air Dream Edition is now fully booked. This exclusive design was created to celebrate the launch of Lucid Air. If you were hoping to reserve a Dream Edition, you can still get on the waitlist when you reserve a Grand Touring model,” explained the company in an email. Lucid Motors did not disclose how many units were reserved.
The Lucid Air starts from $77,400 USD before federal tax credit and the company is taking reservations for $300 USD. Earlier this month, Lucid told customers in an email the Lucid Dream Edition “was going fast”.
Last week, Lucid Motors announced its Lucid Air would be the world’s first electric vehicle to support Dolby Atmos, as part of its ‘Surreal Sound’ in the electric sedan. The Lucid Air is expected to launch in the second half of 2021, but it remains to be seen if the company can stick to its launch schedule, which has already been delayed.
Update March 23: Only about 500 Lucid Air Dream Edition reservations have been received, confirmed Lucid.
