Elon Musk Title Now ‘Technoking of Tesla’; New Heavy Trucking President Named

All hail the new ‘Technoking of Tesla’, Elon Musk. Yes, that’s right, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Tesla leader has a new title, along side CFO Zach Kirkhorn (via CNBC).

The Form 8-K filed on March 15, 2021, shows Item 8.01 and ‘Other Events’ to say:

Effective as of March 15, 2021, the titles of Elon Musk and Zach Kirkhorn have changed to Technoking of Tesla and Master of Coin, respectively. Elon and Zach will also maintain their respective positions as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

Yes, CFO Zach Kirkhorn also now has a title of ‘Master of Coin’, according to the filing, which the latter signed off on. Tesla previously invested $1.5 billion into Bitcoin.

Musk has long shared his love for music and also electronic and techno genres. He has said when Giga Berlin opens there will be a launch party and ‘mega rave cave’.

Also on Monday, Tesla made Jerome Guillen president of Tesla heavy trucking as of last week; he formerly was the president of automotive, a title he had since September 2018.

“As Tesla prepares to enter the critical heavy-trucks market for the first time, Mr. Guillen will now leverage his extensive background in this industry to focus on and lead all aspects of the Tesla Semi program, including the related charging and servicing networks,” said Tesla in the filing.

Tesla’s Semi is set to start deliveries by the end of 2021. On the weekend, Tesla shared a video of its latest Semi driving around a test track.
