2021 Tesla Model Y Delivery Checklist [Printable PDF]
If you’re looking for one of the best Tesla Model Y delivery checklists, the following from ‘polymorphic’ from GitHub is one of the most comprehensive we’ve seen.
The checklist is crowdsourced from tips shared by Tesla Model Y owners from Reddit. It also includes tips and suggestions prior to delivery, during and after. Click here to find a printable PDF version.
“The list is not meant to replace Tesla’s QC and thus doesn’t offer 100% coverage. Rather, these contributions from MY owners who already walked the path aim to cover recurring problems that unfortunately seem to escape quality control (QC) at the factory as well as at the service centers,” explains the document.
New Tesla Model Y owners are to use the checklist to “guide your inspection, document findings, assemble a list of problems to be handled by Tesla as pre-delivery issue(s) or refuse delivery.”
There are tick boxes to allow you to tick each item off with a pen during your delivery process. Here’s a sample snippet of what it looks like:
It’s best to inspect your new Model Y with access to the interior of your vehicle as well. The checklist goes through a variety of items to examine in your car’s exterior, interior, front trunk (“frunk”) and trunk.
We’ve created a PDF of this checklist which you can click here to download and print, showing the latest updates from the GitHub checklist as of March 7, 2021.
The checklist requires at least 90 minutes to complete, so ensure you have ample time to do so. It is also recommended to try to pick up your Tesla Model Y in the morning, so you’re not rushing an examination at the end of the day (your service advisors might be in better moods in the morning too).
While this list is dedicated to the Model Y, it could similarly be applied to a Model 3 as well, as both vehicles share similar parts and design.
