Tesla FSD Beta Seeing ‘High Levels’ of Demand, New ‘Download Beta’ Button Coming
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has shared on Saturday afternoon the company is seeing “high levels” of demand for its Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta sign ups, following yesterday’s invite for people to contact the company to register for the beta.
Earlier today, Tesla outlined how to sign up to be a FSD beta tester, by emailing the company.
Now, Musk has clarified, “Due to high levels of demand for FSD Beta, adding “Download Beta” button to Service section of car display in ~10 days.”
This means in the service section of eligible car displays, there will soon be a download button to get the latest beta, if you qualify, it appears.

Tesla previously stated it had about 1,000 FSD beta testers, but on Friday Musk said that number was set to double and would possibly increase tenfold when the next version is released.
So far, FSD beta testing has been limited to the United States, but Musk has previously said expansion would be coming to Canada, shortly. For now, FSD remains a $10,000 USD add-on to Autopilot and the beta includes Autosteer for city streets, which is one of the most impressive features seen yet, in demo videos we’ve seen from testers.
