SpaceX has updated its Starlink app for iOS and Android on Wednesday, bringing alerts for service outages and more.

According to Starlink, the update has now “added alerts service outages, degraded service, intermittent service, damaged/loose Ethernet cable, usage in unexpected location, and installation at an angle.”

On iOS and Android, there’s a new updated privacy policy URL, plus unnamed bug fixes.

For iPhone users running iOS 14, the Starlink app now has “added warnings when attempting to use the “Check for Obstructions” feature with incompatible Locations Services settings.”

The Starlink mobile app is key for setting up and verifying your satellite internet connection.

Currently, anyone can pre-order Starlink’s internet beta by going to Starlink.com. SpaceX says it plans to have “near global coverage of the populated world by 2021.”

Recently, the Starlink iOS app was expanded to Germany, the Netherlands, Australia and Ireland.

Earlier this week, SpaceX launched 60 more Starlink satellites into orbit, taking the satellite constellation to 1,145 total.
