Tesla Model Y with New Center Console Delivered in the United States
It looks like Tesla has started delivering its Model Y compact SUV with new heated steering wheel and center console for owners in the USA and Canada.
According to TMC forums user ‘BojangleGuy’, the new Model Y owner shared images of their new February 11 delivery, that includes a heated steering wheel and new center console.
“We just picked our Y up tonight (Feb 11th) and it has the new console and heated steering wheel. We ordered on Feb 3rd. Our Tesla service center (SLC Utah) said it was the first one delivered in the state,” said the new Model Y owner.
Check out the new center console in the Model Y below. You may recall this new center console is from the 2021 Model 3 refresh:
The image below shows the heated steering wheel icon, indicating it’s available with this delivery. Tesla debuted a heated steering wheel in the Model Y for the first time when it launched sales in China back on January 1:
According to ‘BojangleGuy’, their new Model Y does not have the new headlights seen in the Model 3 refresh, and their VIN is 115XXX. As of writing, there is no confirmation of Bioweapon Defense Mode yet in this Model Y.
Also, it appears Model Y with new center console has made its way to Canada as well. One user shared on Reddit they spotted a Model Y in Vancouver, B.C., with new center console.
“I was picking up my Model Y [Standard Range] at the East Vancouver pick up centre today and the black Model Y beside mine had the updated centre console… was very surprised they were making them already. I also had a look around at the other parked Model Ys and it seemed like this was the only one with the update,” said user ‘CLSJ_’. No images were shared to confirm the sighting, however.
