Tesla Shares New Pictures of Model Y Factories in Shanghai and Berlin
Tesla today announced its Q4 2020 earnings, revealing the company’s first-ever annual profit for a single fiscal year.
Within the company’s quarterly update deck, Tesla also shared new photos detailing the construction of Model Y factories at Giga Shanghai and Giga Berlin.
According to Tesla, the Model Y factory in Shanghai “is in the process of ramping to full capacity.” The Model 3 factory in Shanghai is able to produce 250,000 units per year.
Given Tesla’s annual guidance of Model 3 and Y production at Giga Shanghai of 450,000 vehicles per year, the Model Y factory looks to be set for 200,000 units per year.

Tesla also shared pictures of Giga Berlin’s Model Y factory under construction as well. The company says “we have already started to move machinery into the building.”

Tesla also shared a three-month progress update for Gigafactory Texas. The construction pace is pretty incredible for just three month’s time:

When all of these factories are up and running, Tesla will be easily churning out well over 1 million vehicles produced per year.
