New Tesla Roadster Will Have ‘Special Colors’ Says Elon Musk

The new Tesla Roadster is described by Tesla as “the quickest car in the world, with record-setting acceleration, range and performance.”

For those wondering what colours the new Roadster will come in, CEO Elon Musk shed more light yesterday.

The original 2008 Roadster was available in numerous colours, 13 exterior options in total:

• Arctic White
• Brilliant Yellow Metallic
• Electric Blue
• Fusion Red
• Glacier Blue Metallic
• Jet Black
• Obsidian Black Metallic
• Racing Green
• Radiant Red Metallic
• Sterling Silver Metallic
• Thunder Gray
• Twilight Blue Metallic
• Very Orange

It’s unclear if these exact colours will be available for the new Roadster, but at its price tag ranging from $200,000 USD to $250,000 USD…there better be some original paint colors available.

The new Roadster will be able to go 0-60 mph in 1.9 seconds, have a top speed of over 250 mph (402 kph), and a range of 620 miles (1,000 km). The lightning-fast electric vehicle is slated to debut sometime in 2022.
