Merely two days after the fantastical Tesla Tequila (or “Teslaquila”) went on sale, and with deliveries not expected until “late 2020”, Twitter user @Edgar707KiDS shared pictures of the Tesla Tequila in its packaging — stand, Tesla-esque instructions, and all.

What started as part of an April Fool’s joke from none other than Tesla CEO Elon Musk back in 2018 turned into an actual Tesla product earlier this year.

Tesla Tequila went on sale for $250 USD on the official Tesla website, and was sold out in a matter of hours. Scalpers are having a hey day with Tesla Tequila on eBay of course.

The newly surfaced images give us a better look at the “premium 100% de agave tequila añejo”, the bottle it is sold in, and the product’s packaging.

Inside the box is a disclaimer stating that the glass bottle containing the tequila has been handcrafted by artisans, and so each bottle is slightly different and has its own unique imperfections.

Also found inside the packaging are extensive (and slightly satirical) instructions on how to properly open the bottle of tequila and avoid breaking it in the process.

There’s no word yet on what the spirit tastes like, unfortunately.
