Watch Tesla Full Self-Driving Beta Avoid Road Debris [VIDEO]
A number of new videos documenting Tesla’s new full self-driving beta have surfaced across the internet, and the results are satisfying, to say the least. However, few of these videos are as short and sweet as the one to follow.
In a new video posted on YouTube, Canadian James Locke, who currently resides in California, shows his Tesla Model 3 seemingly avoid random debris in the road while testing Full Self-Driving beta.
The video, at a mere 14 seconds long, is a quick show of the feature’s attention to even the smallest hazards on the road. You can see the Model 3 steering wheel slightly nudge to the left, then back to the right:

Full Self-Driving beta was released by Tesla in October, and CEO Elon Musk has said that the system will be prepared for a full, public release by the beginning of the new year. The cost of the feature is currently $10,000 (USD), and is set to change to a subscription-based pricing model in 2021.
Commenters on YouTube and Twitter mentioned the fact that the full self-driving technology has difficulty addressing potholes, a major concern for critics.
Still, watching the Full Self-Driving system attack tricky intersections, pedestrians, debris, and a number of other important obstacles is rather satisfying, and the technology is still set to improve substantially in the coming years.
