Tesla CEO Elon Musk has just confirmed Model Y 7-seater configurations will start production in November, with the first deliveries to take place in early December.
“Starting production on 7 seater next month, initial deliveries early December,” said Musk in a reply to @teslaownersSV.

The seven-seater Model Y was previously noted by Tesla to deliver in Q4 of this year, as it was not part of the initial March launch of the new compact SUV.
While a seven-seat Model Y won’t exactly be the most spacious, it will allow for those with small kids to fit in the whole family into their Tesla. Again, it’s worth noting this timeframe may change as it’s on “Elon time”, but for now, this is the official news Model Y owners have been waiting for.
