
We’re starting to sound like a broken record, but Tesla continues to make history. The company’s stock price has been on a tear lately and today reached yet another all-time high, touching $2,318.49 per share during today’s opening hour of trading.
As of writing, Tesla is trading at $2,230 per share, which beats yesterday’s all-time high. It seems as though nothing can stop Tesla and Elon Musk right now. With Battery Day highly anticipated and coming on September 22, to go with a 5-to-1 stock split after today’s close, all cylinders are firing for the company (figure of speech!).
Tesla’s market cap currently is at $415 billion, while Musk’s 21% stake in the company means the CEO’s net worth has surpassed $100 billion on Friday, according to the Forbes real-time billionaires list.
The world’s richest person remains Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos with his net worth topping $200 billion this week, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
