Elon Musk Says New Tesla Feature Will “Play Snake Jazz Through Outside Speakers”

Elon Musk has certainly been known to have a sense of humor. Floating back and forth between Tesla and SpaceX news all the way to jokes about “trashing him on Wikipedia,” Musk has made it a real point to interact with his fans on Twitter in both hilarious and helpful ways.

In his newest comedy long-balled (or is he being serious?) on Twitter, Musk joked that a brand new Tesla feature was soon coming that “enables your car to play snake jazz or Polynesian elevator music through its outside speakers wherever you go.”

While the external speakers on Teslas are no joke, Musk has demonstrated a different running joke obsession with snake jazz. In this post, he also references Polynesian elevator music (whatever that may be), as well as Hardcore Techno in the comments.

External speakers were beginning to be added to Tesla’s models in 2019 to keep up with a safety regulation put in place for all electric vehicles. The hope, as Musk once put it, is so that people could even talk to others on the street from within their cars, if they needed to.

The addition of external speakers was a useful safety move for Tesla, though, as Musk put it, they may be able to be used for much more sinister plots, like subjecting others to your own music of choice.
