First Tesla Model Y Hits Turo in Canada at Rate of $259 Per Day
Peer-to-peer car sharing platform, Turo, has announced the first Tesla Model Y has hit its listings in Canada.
Tesla delivered the first Model Y in Canada back in June and according to Turo, the company tells Tesla North, “guests have the unique opportunity to experience one of the only Model Ys available in the country.”
The Model Y available is located in the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario, hosted by owner Elan. The Model Y made available is a Pearl White Metallic Long Range AWD variant.
According to Elan’s listing, the owner writes, “My 2020 Tesla Model Y nicknamed “Nova” is an explosion in a white dwarf, and means “New Star” Be one of the FIRST people to test drive the brand new Tesla Model Y crossover!”
The Model Y has 20-inch induction wheels and these Long Range AWD versions can hit 0-100 km/h in five seconds.
Prospective Model Y owners usually hit up Turo to test drive Tesla’s electric vehicles before buying their own. This particular owner most likely will benefit from Turo’s recent $500 bonus incentive to get Model Y owners to list their cars on the car-sharing network, which is like Airbnb but for cars.
At the rate of $259 CAD per day, it’s a fairly hefty price, but if you really want to test drive a Model Y before buying one, this might be an opportunity to give it a try.
