Electric vehicle maker Tesla is getting back to work in North America. Following some significant hiccups in production due to COVID-19, the company finally reopened its main production facility in Fremont, California. Meanwhile, in China, Tesla built up production efforts by adding a new facility in Shanghai. There’s even more progress in motion in Europe. A new video from jetfox shows the continued construction of Tesla’s newest factory at Giga Berlin.

In April, Tesla reported a delay in production at the construction site in Berlin, Germany. The halt followed reports of poor soil quality. However, as the new video shows, Tesla remedied their application with local officials in Germany, and construction continues.

The video shows large steel shipments arriving at the worksite. There’s also some great footage of concrete being laid. Gravel also arrives to lay foundations for some of the outskirts of the site.

One member at the Tesla Motors Club forum gave some interesting insights on the project. As c041v states, there are some notable differences between construction in Berlin and construction in Shanghai. “The major difference between here and Shanghai is the number of concurrent operations. Local aggregate supply seems to be an issue (it is being trained in) and I assume the local concrete plant also trains in their aggregate as there are concrete trucks driving to the site and no localized batch plant.”
