How to Add a New Driver Profile in Your Tesla Model Y
The Tesla Model Y comes with several unique features that cater to drivers of all kinds. Everything from software with a myriad of customization options to adjustable seats, the electric vehicle allows drivers to maximize their experience. Driver profiles offer one more way for you to take advantage of the Model Y’s functionality. In this week’s tutorial, we’ll take a look at Driver Profiles. Consult with the Tesla Model Y Owner’s Manual to follow along.
Driver Profiles are used to remember certain settings such as seat height, steering wheel position, and many more factors. To create your first Driver Profile, simply adjust your seat to a comfortable position. This action will cause the Driver Profile prompt to appear on the touchscreen.
To add a new Driver Profile:
- Tap the Driver Profile icon on the top of the touchscreen.
- Select “Add New Driver”
- Type the desired name
- Select “Create Profile”
While you can always use this method outlined on page 49 of the owner’s manual, you can also select “Use Easy Entry”. This feature automatically adjusts the driver’s seat position to accommodate new drivers. Remember that making adjustments to your seat, steering wheel, or side-view mirrors will prompt the touchscreen again. If you desire to add these new position settings to a profile, make sure you save them.
