What’s Inside the Tesla Model Y Wireless Charger? [VIDEO]
Of course the new Tesla Model Y interior has lots to offer drivers. The sleek design and impressive performance are certainly positive attributes. But the interior of the vehicle also has a fair bit of perks. One such perk is the wireless charging capabilities. In a new video from i1Tesla, viewers get a closer view of what’s inside the Tesla Model Y wireless charger.
As the video states, there is one USB-C and a USB-A port up front in the center console. In the second row, the vehicle holds two USB-C ports. The video aims to deconstruct how power is routed and shared between the four ports.
For the front ports, the video shows the USB-C port as having superior power performance to the USB-A port. When using the driver’s side wireless charging pad on an iPhone, the video shows 9 watts being output. On the passenger’s side, the wireless charging pad offers similar output.
After removing the wireless charging pad from the vehicle, there’s an interesting discovery. For one, the video shows off logos from Luxshare ICT.
