Tutorial – How to Use Interior Storage and Charge Devices in Tesla Model Y
The Tesla Model Y has a lot to offer drivers with its various storage compartments. In addition to substantial interior storage options, the new electric vehicle also provides support for a wide range of electronic devices. In this week’s tutorial, learn how to make the most out of the Model Y’s interior storage and charge your devices. Follow along in the Tesla Model Y Owner’s Manual.
Page 23 of the Owner’s Manual begins by covering the glove box. As a vital piece of your vehicle’s interior storage, you’ll want to get familiar with operating your glove box.
To open the Model Y glove box, use your touchscreen to navigate to Controls, then select Glovebox. In order to close it, simply push it up until locks back into its starting position.
To access coat hangers, look to the second row of the vehicle. There are coat hangers on each side. Push the coat hanger to either release or contract it. You can also make use of reading lights next to the hangers.
The center console houses two USB 2.0 ports for charging your devices. As the Model Y Owner’s Manual states, “The left USB port is USB-C compatible.” To access the ports, open the door of the center console beneath the vehicle’s touchscreen. Then lift the phone dock upwards to reveal the ports. There are also two USB ports on the rear side of the center console for passengers in the second row. Remember that any device connected to these ports will not communicate with the Tesla Model Y.
