However, there’s a new feature that may bring even more practicality.
In a recent tweet posted by Tesla Model Y News, viewers get a look at touchless opening and closing of the Model Y trunk. How does this work? As you can see in the video, the driver has made use of Apple’s Siri voice commands. Of course such a feature has been configured using a custom method.

In any case, the ability to open and close the trunk without making contact is a feature many Tesla drivers would surely enjoy. It’s not unreasonable to think that Tesla may include more voice commands in future software updates. Already we’ve seen significant updates to the Tesla Autopliot system. With additional features such as enhanced stop sign detection for the full self-driving package, it’s obvious that Tesla caters to convenience as well as efficiency.
