SpaceX lifted 27 Starlink satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California early on September 2, 2026, sending Falcon 9 booster B1063 on its 35th flight — just two shy of the company’s reuse record.
According to Space.com, the rocket lifted off at 1:42 a.m. Pacific Time, and the first stage landed about 8.5 minutes later on the droneship Of Course I Still Love You in the Pacific Ocean. SpaceX later confirmed deployment of all 27 satellites after the upper stage reached low Earth orbit.
The flight was the 102nd Falcon 9 mission of 2026 and one of roughly 79 Starlink-dedicated launches so far this year, keeping the constellation’s West Coast cadence humming while Starship prepares for its first orbital attempt. SpaceX has already filed communications paperwork for Starship Flight 14 that covers an orbital second stage and next-generation Starlink V3 satellites, with a requested window starting September 15.
B1067 set the current reuse mark at 37 flights last week, so B1063’s 35th outing puts another veteran core within striking distance. The new birds join a constellation of more than 11,000 active spacecraft as SpaceX keeps stacking Starlink missions from both coasts, including the fresh Starlink Mobile deal that just opened Europe’s first direct-to-cell partnership in Hungary and Albania.
