SpaceX has reported its first ever quarterly earnings, and it achieved significant revenue growth during the second quarter of 2026, supported by rapid expansion across its Starlink internet and artificial intelligence divisions.

Total revenue for the quarter ending June 30 climbed 92 percent year-over-year to $7.8 billion, up from $4.1 billion during the same period in 2025. The company also narrowed its net loss to $541 million, marking a substantial improvement from the $1.0 billion net loss recorded a year earlier.

The Starlink satellite connectivity business served as the primary growth driver, bringing in $4.3 billion in revenue. Subscriber numbers doubled over the past year to reach 12 million globally. High profile commercial deals contributed to the surge, including an agreement with American Airlines and new inflight service activations on Southwest, Virgin Atlantic, Iberia, and Aer Lingus. On the government side, SpaceX secured more than $6 billion in multi-year contracts for Starshield, its military satellite network.

The company’s AI segment generated $2.56 billion in revenue, boosted by major cloud computing agreements totaling $14.1 billion in contracted sales. Expansion plans in AI include a pending $60 billion deal to acquire AI coding platform Cursor, alongside the July launch of the Grok 4.5 AI model.

Rocket launch operations added $962 million in revenue, driven by a favorable customer mix across 38 total launches during the quarter. The team also completed two suborbital test flights for the Starship V3 vehicle over the past 90 days as part of ongoing work toward full reusability.

Following its initial public offering in June, which raised $85.7 billion in net proceeds, SpaceX ended the quarter holding $100 billion in cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities.
