Tesla Delivers Over 480,000 Vehicles in Q2 2026 as Storage Hits 13.5 GWh
Tesla has released its production and delivery numbers for the second quarter of 2026, showing steady momentum across both its automotive and energy divisions. The Texas-based electric automaker managed to hand over a massive volume of vehicles to customers worldwide over the last three months.
During the second quarter, Tesla manufactured 451,758 vehicles and successfully delivered 480,126 units globally, a 25% increase year over year. As expected, the popular Model 3 sedan and Model Y crossover made up the vast majority of those numbers. Combined production for the Model 3 and Model Y reached 442,936 vehicles, while deliveries for the two mainstream models hit 467,762 units.
The company’s other vehicles, which include more expensive and newer models, accounted for 8,822 units produced and 12,364 units delivered to buyers.
Beyond its passenger car lineup, Tesla posted a huge quarter for its clean energy business. The company deployed 13.5 gigawatt-hours of battery energy storage products during the three-month window, pointing to substantial growth for its industrial and residential power division.
Market watchers will not have to wait long to see how these delivery metrics impact the company’s bottom line. Tesla confirmed it will post its full second-quarter financial earnings after the stock market closes on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. The executive management team plans to host a live question and answer webcast at 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time that afternoon to share details on profit margins and discuss the company’s outlook for the rest of the year.
