First Tesla FSD Rollout in Netherlands Requires Mandatory Safety Quiz
Tesla has officially started rolling out Full Self-Driving Supervised to subscribers in the Netherlands with the first installations beginning less than 24 hours after the software received regulatory approval. The quick deployment marks a major milestone for Tesla as it begins its expansion into the European market.
Kees Roelandschap, co-host of the TeslaToMars podcast, was among the first group invited into the early access program. Roelandschap confirmed that the rollout moved incredibly fast, noting he received the update almost immediately after the green light was given. The specific version being delivered to European owners is FSD v14.2.2.5, which is bundled with the 2026.3.6 software update.
He’s been sharing live updates of FSD on X through a video livestream.
Before drivers can activate the system, Tesla is requiring a mandatory safety onboarding process. Owners must watch a long educational video and successfully complete a short quiz. This process is designed to ensure users understand how to safely use the technology on public roads.
The launch in the Netherlands is a significant step toward Tesla building its robotaxi fleet and expansion of FSD in Europe. Early testers are now beginning to put the neural network based software to the task on local roads to see how it handles unique European infrastructure and driving conditions.
