Largest Cybercab Grouping Ever Seen Emerges at Giga Texas Production Exit

Tesla has reached a major turning point at Gigafactory Texas as the company moves closer to mass-producing its dedicated autonomous robotaxi. Expert drone pilot Joe Tegtmeyer, who monitors the facility daily, observed a significant surge in Cybercab activity to start the month of March.

According to Tegtmeyer, the factory production line shifted into a higher volume yesterday. Today, he captured footage of 25 Cybercabs across the property, marking what appears to be the largest single grouping of these vehicles ever seen by the public.

The fleet was distributed across three primary areas of the Giga Texas campus. A group of 14 units was parked in a tight formation directly outside the factory exit, while 9 units were seen at the crash testing facility and 2 others were spotted at the west End-of-Line facility. Tegtmeyer also noted several additional units driving around the grounds, indicating that active dynamic testing is now a constant part of the factory’s operations.

This increase in visible inventory follows the milestone of the first production Cybercab rolling off the line in mid-February. While these early builds are part of a test manufacturing phase, the jump from a few scattered prototypes to dozens of finished units suggests Tesla is refining its revolutionary “unboxed” manufacturing process.

The Cybercab is designed as a sub-$30,000 two-seater with no steering wheel or pedals, relying entirely on Tesla’s vision-based Full Self-Driving technology. This manufacturing shift aligns with previous statements from Elon Musk, who indicated that while the early ramp would be measured, full-scale volume production is targeted to begin in April.

The presence of nearly ten units at the crash testing site is a particularly strong signal that Tesla is deep into the structural validation and safety certification process required before these vehicles can be deployed.
