Tesla Launches New 76-Inch Tall Pedestal for Commercial and Home Charging

Tesla has expanded its charging accessory lineup with the launch of a new Tall Pedestal for the Gen 3 Wall Connector. The rugged aluminum post is priced at $900 US and is designed for locations where a wall-mounted setup isn’t possible.

Standing 76 inches tall, the pedestal is a heavy-duty solution for parking lots or properties that require a free-standing structure. It allows for the mounting of either one or two Wall Connectors, meaning it can charge two Tesla vehicles simultaneously in a back-to-back configuration.

The design includes an integrated bracket to keep charging cables neatly looped and off the ground, which helps prevent wear and tear while keeping the parking area tidy. Tesla says the unit is compatible with all Gen 3 Wall Connectors as well as the Universal Wall Connector.

While the sleek aluminum finish makes for a clean installation, the process is more involved than a standard wall mount. Tesla notes that installing the pedestal typically requires trenching and a concrete pad to secure it in place. Because of the specialized work required, the company recommends that owners consult with a local contractor for a cost estimate before buying.

The $900 price tag includes the aluminum post, cable brackets, and mounting hardware, but the actual Wall Connectors and installation costs are sold separately. For those who don’t want to pay the full amount upfront, Tesla is also offering financing options starting at approximately $57 per month.
