Tesla has started rolling out software update 2025.45.9, bringing Full Self-Driving (Supervised) v14.2.2.4 along with several new driving, navigation, and convenience features. For some, this quick update comes just 8 days after FSD v14.2.2.3 was released. The Tesla AI team works relentlessly on pushing out software updates.

What’s New in FSD 14.2.2.4

The latest version improves how Tesla’s system sees and reacts to the road. Tesla says the updated vision system does a better job with emergency vehicles, road debris, obstacles, and hand signals from people directing traffic.

FSD can now also pull over or yield for police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances. Navigation is more closely tied into the vision system, allowing the car to respond to blocked roads and detours in real time.

Tesla has improved handling in tricky situations such as unprotected turns, lane changes, vehicle cut-ins, school buses, gates, and debris on the road. The update also improves how the system recovers from errors, making it more reliable overall.

New Arrival Options

Drivers can now choose where FSD should stop or park when arriving at a destination. Options include parking lots, streets, driveways, parking garages, or curbside drop-offs. These preferences can be saved for specific locations.

New Speed Profiles

Tesla has added new driving style options for FSD to replace the previous “precise” mph/kph offset with more intuitive personalities.

A new Sloth mode prioritizes lower speeds and more cautious lane choices, sticking strictly to the speed limit. At the other end, Mad Max allows higher speeds and more frequent lane changes for a more assertive drive. Driver profiles now play a bigger role in how assertive the system behaves.

Interface and Controls Updates

Drivers can now see self-driving stats in the vehicle settings and start FSD directly from the touchscreen while parked or driving. Speed profiles and arrival options can also be adjusted directly from the driving display.

By default, FSD no longer requires a brake press to confirm activation, though this can be turned back on in settings.

Other Notable Features in 2025.45.9

The update includes several non-driving additions, including:

  • Voice-based navigation changes using Tesla’s Grok assistant
  • A new in-car Photobooth feature
  • Live Activity support for Dog Mode on iPhone
  • More detailed dashcam playback information (including speed and steering angle)
  • Navigation upgrades such as HOV lane routing and Supercharger site maps
  • New Light Show and Santa Mode updates
  • A SpaceX docking simulator game

Tesla says Full Self-Driving (Supervised) still requires active driver attention and does not make the vehicle autonomous.
