Tesla App Update Adds Recommended Maintenance Tracker for Owners

Tesla has quietly added a handy new “Recommended Maintenance” section to its mobile app, giving owners more insight into their vehicle’s upkeep needs. The feature was first spotted by @cybrtrkguy, who shared screenshots of the new menu in action, saying, “The Tesla App now shows recommended maintenance. Here’s what my truck ‘needs’.”
The new Recommended Maintenance section can be found under Service > Request Service > Maintenance. It lists various components and maintenance requirements such as the cabin air filter, wiper blades, tire rotation, and more — displaying not only their estimated remaining life but also the last and next recommended maintenance dates, along with the estimated replacement/service cost.
Each item expands to show a detailed breakdown of maintenance history and Tesla’s recommended intervals. However, a feature as helpful as this one could use better visibility within the app’s menu structure. In its current form, the Recommended Maintenance section is buried behind too many menus and many users found it hard to locate.
This update follows recent improvements to the Tesla app experience. Just last week, version 4.50.0 introduced a new Tire Center feature that helps owners find the right tires for their vehicles, along with support for screen sharing and other refinements. Last month, Tesla also rolled out Live Activities for mobile service appointments on iPhone, allowing owners to track repair progress directly from their lock screens in real time.
With the new Recommended Maintenance section, Tesla continues to integrate more ownership tools into its app, helping streamline service scheduling and proactive vehicle care — all from the palm of your hand.
