Tesla Semi Factory in Nevada Gears Up for Production [VIDEO]

Tesla was recently seen hauling in what appeared to be a massive stamping press as it prepares to kick off production at its new Tesla Semi factory in Nevada. The enormous equipment required two semi-trucks and a triple trailer to move, as seen in new footage from self-proclaimed “Tesla Semi Advocate” Zanegler (@HinrichsZane).

The new Semi production facility, located near the existing Gigafactory Nevada complex, is being built to support full-scale manufacturing of the Tesla Semi, with an eventual capacity of up to 50,000 units annually. The all-electric Class 8 truck is designed to replace diesel rigs without compromise, offering better torque, lower operating costs, and higher energy efficiency than traditional heavy-duty trucks.

This development comes just a month after Tesla itself shared a construction update showing the stamping shop at the Nevada Semi factory already completed. Now, with heavy equipment like a stamping press arriving on-site, it appears production could begin in the coming months.

The Tesla Semi has already been put through its paces by logistics partners. ArcBest completed a pilot program with the truck last month, praising its performance and reliability in real-world conditions. PepsiCo, one of Tesla’s earliest Semi customers, has also been trialing the vehicle for its fleet over the past couple of years.

Back in April, Tesla gave us our first look inside the under-construction Semi factory, showcasing early structural work. Now, this new footage captures the latest progress, underscoring the scale of operations gearing up at the site.. Check out Zanegler’s full construction update in the video below:
