Tesla Diner: Everything You Need to Know

Tesla officially opened the first Tesla Diner to the public at 4:20 p.m. PT / 7:20 p.m. ET on Monday, July 21, and it’s already drawing crowds for far more than just fast charging.

Located on Santa Monica Boulevard in L.A.’s Hollywood Media District, the Tesla Diner is a retro-futuristic 24/7 diner, Supercharger, and drive-in movie theatre hybrid — all powered by Starlink internet and solar canopies. It boasts 80 V4 Supercharger stalls, making it the largest urban Supercharger site in the world, and it’s open to all NACS-compatible electric vehicles.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said earlier this week that if the Hollywood location performs well, the company will bring the Tesla Diner experience to major cities around the world, as well as key Supercharger sites on long-distance routes. “An island of good food, good vibes & entertainment, all while Supercharging!” he posted on X. He also responded positively to a request for a Tesla Diner in Starbase, Texas, home of SpaceX’s operations.

Inside, Tesla is delivering on its promise of a better-than-fast-food dining experience. The all-day menu includes burgers, sandwiches, waffles, all-beef hot dogs, breakfast tacos, and more — many made with organic, responsibly sourced ingredients from within a full charge’s distance.

Fries are cooked in beef tallow, eggs are organic and pasture-raised, and even the cheese is free from starches and fillers. Desserts include soft-serve, cinnamon rolls, and pie shakes, while the Charged Sodas and organic kombucha elevate the drink selection.

Ordering is fully integrated: when connected to the diner’s Wi-Fi, the Tesla Diner app appears directly in your car’s infotainment system, letting you order from your touchscreen for pickup or driver-side drop-off. A special pop-up also appears when navigating to the diner, allowing you to place your order in advance. The location even has its own dedicated Navigation pin on the map.

A rooftop Skypad lounge overlooks two massive 45-foot drive-in screens, with synced audio streamed straight to your Tesla’s speakers. There’s also exclusive Tesla Diner merch, including a black Tesla Bot action figure, Supercharged Gummies, retro tees, and more — only available on site.
