Elon Musk Now Refocusing on Tesla, xAI, and X Instead of DOGE

Elon Musk says he’s going back to his old routine of sleeping at work and spending nearly all his time on his companies.

In a post on May 24, Musk said he’ll be “super focused” on X, his AI startup xAI, and Tesla, especially with major tech rollouts underway. This was in response to someone’s post about X seeing some major downtime on Saturday.

He also mentioned the upcoming SpaceX Starship launch (set for May 27) and admitted that recent downtime on X showed the need for serious improvements. “The failover redundancy should have worked, but did not,” Musk said, referring to issues that caused problems with the platform’s uptime.

On May 25, a user on X reacted positively to Musk’s announcement, saying it likely means faster rollouts of features like X Money and X Chat. Musk replied simply: “Yes,” and reiterated that Tesla’s unsupervised Full Self-Driving (FSD) system powering its robotaxi fleet will soon be running in Austin, Texas.

The post signals Musk is once again turning his full attention to his companies, after previously posting more about politics and his time with spent with DOGE at the White House.

After months of Musk focusing on DOGE, it seems he’s now getting laser focused on Tesla and his other companies again, which is a good thing to see.
