SpaceX has launched a new low-cost accessory called the Starlink Router Mini, aimed at improving Wi-Fi coverage in smaller homes or areas with dead zones.

Priced at $40 USD, the router is currently only available in the United States through the official Starlink Shop.

Designed to extend or supplement your existing Starlink setup, the Router Mini supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and includes features like MU-MIMO, WPA2 security, and support for Starlink Mesh networks. However, it performs best when limited to three mesh nodes or fewer.

With a coverage area of 1,200 square feet, it’s a more compact alternative to the Starlink Gen 3 Router, which covers up to 3,200 square feet. The Router Mini is ideal for basic residential setups, such as apartments, small homes, or rooms with weak signals.

The Router Mini is compatible with Starlink Mini, Gen 2, and Gen 3 routers, but not with Gen 1 routers or third-party mesh systems. It’s built to handle operating temperatures from -22°F to 122°F (-30°C to 50°C), making it suitable for a wide range of environments.

If the Router Mini isn’t listed in your Starlink Shop, it means it’s currently unavailable in your region.
