SpaceX’s satellite internet service, Starlink, has launched a new offer for select customer: get the hardware kit for free when signing up for a 12-month Residential plan.
There’s a Starlink ad on X advertising the $0 kit offer. You need to punch in your address to see if you’re eligible. So far, nations included in the promo include Canada, Italy, Germany and Australia, but only for select addresses.
The Starlink kit, which usually costs $499 CAD in Canada, includes the satellite dish, router, mounting hardware, and necessary cables. Under this new deal, the upfront equipment cost is waived — but only if customers commit to keeping the service active for at least one year at $140 CAD per month for residential service.

Besides Canada, the $0 kit offer is nationwide in Italy, other countries like Germany and Australia are also running similar promotions in more limited regions.
What if you’re not seeing the $0 kit deal? Starlink explains, “The $0 Starlink Kit with 12-Month commitment option is only available in select areas at this time. If your area is eligible, you will see the option when ordering after entering your address.” Good luck.
