Tesla has officially stopped taking orders for the older Model Y in the United States and Canada. Customers can now only order the new Model Y Launch series through Tesla’s website.
Tesla’s homepage now promotes the new lineup with a caption stating, “Inventory Model Y Available Now. Explore Reduced Pricing.”
While existing inventory of the older Model Y is still available, models like the Long Range RWD are listed from $33,890 USD, and the Long Range AWD from $35,990 USD after the $7,500 federal tax credit.
The new Model Y Launch series introduces several upgrades over the previous version. The interior has been refined with enhanced materials and a sleeker dashboard design.
Battery efficiency has been improved, offering increased range and faster charging capabilities. The infotainment system features a revamped user interface with faster responsiveness. Additionally, the new lineup offers fresh wheel and trim options for greater customization in terms of aesthetics and performance. There’s a new front design and rear design as well. It just looks sleeker and more futuristic compared to the predecessor.
