On Saturday, March 8, 2025, Tesla kicked off the first deliveries of its new Model Y in the United States, following deliveries in China earlier this week.
“Celebrating first deliveries of the new Model Y at Giga Texas & Fremont Factory. Congrats to our new owners!” said Tesla on Saturday. The company showed off pictures of the new Model Y delivery event at Giga Texas. Even Tesla head designer Franz von Holzhausen was on site to greet new owners.

Besides the U.S., Tesla also launched new Model Y
New Model Y deliveries in Europe starting today. “Giga Berlin called dibs on the first bunch,” said the Tesla Europe account.
