Tesla is expected to refresh its Model S and Model X lineup in late 2025, according to Lars Moravy, VP of Vehicle Engineering. During an appearance on the Ride the Lightning podcast, Moravy hinted at upcoming changes, responding to questions about updates with, “Just give it a minute, we’ll get there.”
The last major refresh for the Model S and Model X came in early 2021, bringing a redesigned interior with retractable cupholders, deeper storage, a second-row touchscreen, and an updated center console. While details on the 2025 refresh remain unclear, Tesla fans can expect more enhancements as the automaker continues refining its flagship vehicles.
Moravy also spoke about Tesla’s upcoming second-generation Roadster, revealing that development had surpassed initial expectations. “What we had come up with exceeded what we originally planned,” he said, adding that Elon Musk encouraged the team to push even further to improve performance and design.
Are you ready for another refresh of the Model S and Model X? These premium vehicles from Tesla are the most expensive, so their sales are low volume. But it’s clear Tesla still has some tricks up its sleeve to continue to drive further sales.
