Tesla has started offering free trials of its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) software again, beginning on February 12. Some Tesla owners have received emails notifying them of complimentary access to the driver-assist system.
One such email, sent to Tesla owner Aaron Crews, stated: “Your Full Self-Driving (Supervised) trial starts now! You’ve been granted a complimentary trial of Full Self-Driving (Supervised) for your Model Y.”
FSD (Supervised) requires driver supervision still, but allows the vehicle to navigate roads, make lane changes, and follow routes autonomously, though human oversight remains mandatory.
The current version of FSD is 13.2.7, which is part of the 2024.45.32.15 software update.
Tesla has frequently offered limited-time FSD trials in the past to encourage more owners to adopt the software, which costs $8,000 USD or $99 USD per month.
