Tesla’s energy division has ramped up production of its latest home battery, the Powerwall 3, hitting a new record of over 1,500 units built in 24 hours at its Nevada facility, as shared today.
The company shared a picture of employees holding up balloons that showed the number “1500”.
This comes less than three months after the company celebrated producing 1,000 Powerwalls in a single day on November 12, 2024.
The Powerwall 3, Tesla’s latest home energy storage system, improves on previous models with an integrated solar inverter, making it more efficient and easier to install. It supports higher power output, allowing homeowners to run more appliances during an outage. The unit also features seamless backup capabilities and better scalability for those looking to expand their home energy system.
Tesla’s increased production highlights growing demand for residential energy storage as more households seek backup power and energy independence.
