Tesla Insurance Offers Discount for Full Self-Driving Users
Tesla is introducing a new insurance discount for drivers who use Full Self-Driving (Supervised) in Arizona and Texas. The more you drive with FSD (Supervised) enabled, the bigger the discount on your insurance premium, with savings of up to 10% for those who use it at least 50% of the time.
Tesla Insurance tracks total miles driven and how many of those miles are with FSD (Supervised) turned on over a 30-day period. If you qualify, your discount will be applied to eligible coverages on your next monthly premium. However, some coverages, like comprehensive and uninsured motorist policies, are not included.
To see your discount, check the Safety Score section in the Tesla app, where you can track your miles and view an estimate of your next premium. The discount is available to new policyholders starting February 1, 2025, and to renewing customers on March 8, 2025.
Only Tesla owners who have purchased or subscribed to FSD (Supervised) are eligible. Trial users do not qualify, but if you subscribe before your next premium is calculated, any miles already driven with FSD (Supervised) will count toward the discount.
Tesla owners can sign up for FSD (Supervised) at any time through the Tesla app or on their vehicle’s touchscreen.
