Teslas Now Self-Drive from Factory to Shipping Docks [VIDEO]
Tesla has taken a major step toward Full Self-driving (FSD) Unsupervised. The company announced that its vehicles can now drive themselves from the production line to loading dock lanes at its Fremont factory—without any human intervention.
A video shared by Tesla’s AI account on X shows multiple Teslas autonomously navigating the 1.2-mile route inside the factory. Screens inside the cars display “Tesla Self-Driving”, confirming the system is operating without human input.
Elon Musk reacted to the news, saying “Unsupervised full self-driving begins.” Seeing the Teslas drive by themselves from production line to the docking lanes is super cool. What other company can do this right now?
This update brings Tesla one step closer to achieving large-scale unsupervised FSD, a key milestone in its push for fully autonomous vehicles.

So how does this work? Isn’t calibration of cameras needed? Tesla says, “Calibration is now done automatically as the vehicle moves through the manufacturing line,” according to Ashok Elluswamy, head of Tesla AI and Autopilot.
Also recently, Tesla’s Cybertunnel is now open at Giga Texas. The 1,355 foot tunnel was completed in 9 weeks and allows Cybertrucks to drive from factory line to outbound lot, driving underneath the freeway:
With a major highway in the way, we needed a faster & safer way to connect production with our end of line shop & outbound lot
So we teamed up with @boringcompany to bore a 1,355 ft tunnel in just 9 weeks – enabling a much more efficient route for @cybertruck pic.twitter.com/qzyORIz8TB
