Tesla China had a robust finish to December 2024 in China, with 76,552 vehicles insured during the month, as per data from December 2 to 29.

This strong performance included 18,600 insurance registrations in the week of December 23–29, making it the third-highest week of the year and the second-highest for the quarter. The high registration numbers reflect consistent demand and successful deliveries in the Chinese market, the world’s largest EV market.

December’s figures contributed to Tesla’s year-to-date growth of 7.7% (656,339) compared to 2023 (610,074) and capped off a fourth quarter that saw an 8.3% quarter-over-quarter and 13.6% year-over-year increase, according to data compiled by @Tslachan. The final numbers will change as data from December 30 and 31 still need to be included.

With just two days of data still to be added, Tesla’s December results underscore the company’s strong market presence and consumer appeal in one of the world’s most competitive EV markets.
