Tesla Launches FSD 13 Free Trials in Canada, US on Xmas Eve
Tesla has announced a complimentary Full Self-Driving (Supervised) trial for eligible vehicles, doling out the trial on Christmas Eve.
The trial allows drivers with AI4 (Hardware 4; those with AMD chips) to experience advanced driving features such as automatic lane changes, navigating forks in the road, and making turns under their supervision with FSD 13, the newest version of the software.
Older vehicles on AI3 (Hardware 3) have yet to experience FSD 13 and are expected to get FSD 12.6 this month, according to Tesla.
Though the system can handle various driving tasks, the vehicle is not fully autonomous, and users must remain attentive and cautious. Tesla says the trial will run until January 23, 2025. Those with active FSD subscriptions will get an extra 30 days for free.
The last time we saw Tesla extend FSD month trials by a couple of weeks. We may see that happen again. Did you get your FSD 13 free trial on your AI4 vehicle?

It will make lane changes, select forks to follow your navigation route, navigate around other vehicles and objects, and make left and right turns. You and anyone you authorize must use additional caution and remain attentive. It does not make your vehicle autonomous. Do not become complacent.
This trial will end on January 23, 2025.
*If you have an active FSD (Supervised) subscription, 30 days of free Full Self-Driving capability will be added to your vehicle.
