
After Tesla announced its 2024 Holiday Update would include an Apple Watch app, the latter is now available for download in Apple’s App Store.
Version 4.39.5 of the Tesla iOS app includes Apple Watch support, released today, December 3, 2024.
“Pair your watch as a key and use your favorite Tesla App functions on Apple Watch,” explains Tesla’s app update.
Also, you can “watch and save Dashcam and Sentry Mode clips at Security > Dashcam Viewer.”
The Tesla Apple Watch app lets you perform the following functions:
- Start/stop charging
- Lock/unlock doors
- Open the frunk
- See state of charge in % and km/mi
- Start/stop climate
- Close/open trunk
- Close/open charge port
- Flash lights
- Honk
- See VIN, current software version, app version
The Apple Watch app also acts as a phone key. This means if you don’t have your iPhone, your Apple Watch will let you enter and start your Tesla.

This still isn't connecting my watch to my tesla. Brand new apple watch 10; iphone 15 Pro Max updated and Tesla with v12 (2024.45.32). I keep getting an error message to move my watch closer to my phone, when in fact they are the same hand/wrist.
